Roots Studio Photography features the work of Colorado photographer Bryan Harding.  Trained as a landscape architect and environmental planner, Bryan brings a keen sensitivity for the natural landscape and built environment to his photography.   His work is focused on capturing the ephemeral, fleeting moments that meld the power and grace of Mother Nature with the essence of the American West.

Bryan’s interest in photography has roots in his frequent childhood exploration of the back woods of New Hampshire, a setting that taught him an appreciation for nature and the ever-changing conditions of New England weather.  Later, Bryan was drawn to the majesty and mysteries of Colorado’s high peaks, building his career in Aspen, Colorado for several years before moving with his family to Colorado’s Front Range.

Now based in Masonville, Colorado, Bryan is constantly inspired by Colorado’s variety of landscapes offering photographic opportunities from the fertile farmland of the high plains to the stark peaks of the Rocky Mountains.  This landscape of geographic variation also provides the perfect backdrop to showcase Colorado’s dynamic weather and lighting conditions. Bryan’s award-winning work can be seen around the country from the ski slopes of Stowe, Vermont to the financial district of Chicago, to the waters of Puget Sound.
